KINGSTON Beach comes alive on Australia Day

A DAY ON THE BEACH is a vibrant and action packed free day out for the whole family.

Continuing to grow in popularity, 2009 saw more than 8,000 people attend, enjoying fantastic weather and an action packed day with over 2,000 event participants.

With loads of free sporting activities, live music, a sandcastle competition, double decker buses, sailing, swimming, the Lady Nelson under sail and the pristine backdrop of Kingston Beach, this really is an event not to be missed.

The event incorporates a full day of activities and entertainment suited to both participants and spectators, with programs both on and off water. Activities cater to children of all ages as well as family groups or team events. All activities are free of charge.

A Day on the Beach will be on at Kingston Beach from 10am-4.00 pm on Australia Day, Tuesday January 26.
