The 2010 Australian Museum Eureka Prizes, a premier national science awards program, includes the Sleek Geeks Science Eureka Prizes - a film competition for children of primary and secondary age.

Entrants are asked to develop a short film of 1 to 3 minutes in length that communicates a science story. They could explore a scientific concept, discovery or invention, or test their very own scientific hypothesis! Anything goes, but keep the science in the story, and keep the science 'reel'.

We have resources and teaching notes to help implement the program into the home classroom. Check out http://eureka.australianmuseum.net.au/news/get-into-geeky-shorts

By entering students will have heaps of fun, engage with their creativity, a chance at fame and the opportunity to win cash prizes.

For further information please go to the Autsralian Museum website www.australianmuseum.net.au/eureka or email Kirsten at eureka@austmus.gov.au

The online entry forms must be in by midnight AEST Friday May 7, with the actual films due to us at the Australian Museum by 5pm AEST Friday May 14.
